For the purposes of protecting and providing for the public health, safety, and welfare,
the Greene County Board of Commissioners may from time to time amend the provisions
of these subdivision regulations. Before enacting any amendment to this ordinance,
the Greene County Planning and Zoning Commission, acting for the Greene County Board
of Commissioners, shall hold a public hearing. Not less than 15 days, nor more than
45 days prior to the date of the said public hearing, the building and zoning office
shall advertise the date, time, place and purpose of the public hearing in a newspaper
of general circulation in Greene County. The Greene County Planning and Zoning Commission
shall hold said hearing and make a recommendation to the Greene County Board of Commissioners
within 30 days of the public hearing.
