§ 2-64. Duties.

The chairperson shall have the following duties:
(1)

Presiding at meetings. To preside at all meetings of the board, and the chairman shall vote.

(2)

Appointment of standing committees. To appoint at the first meeting each year, or as soon thereafter as expedient, standing committees for that year; but the chairman may at any time alter the committees and make such changes as the interest of the county may require.

(3)

Executing legal documents. To sign and execute all contracts, deeds, and bonds of the county duly authorized by the board.
